Rebel Motorsport Club is pleased to announce the date and venue for the upcoming rolling road day.
When:
Saturday 8th November 2008
Where:
PowerStation (http://www.powerstation.org.uk)
Northway Trading Estate, Northway Lane, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. GL20 8JH.

Last year Rebel had a successful rolling road day at Westec Performance in Newport (images from that day can be viewed here). As the Event proved popular we decided we'd do another rolling road day and that day is now nearly here.
The venue has changed to the well-known and respected PowerStation in Tewkesbury (just off Junction 9 of the M5). It's really easy to get to so there's no excuse for not turning up to this one...
We are hopeful of a good turnout with a wide variety of cars going on the rollers - from stock specification to the heavily modified, from pocket rocket to super saloon.
Depending on numbers and the interest in this Event we may also look to organise a meal at a suitable feeding hole and maybe even a short drive, too. Watch this space!
We have a maximum of 35 places available to us and any type of car can be put on the rolling road, whether it be FWD, RWD or 4WD. The cost of going on the rollers is £35 per car.
A deposit of £20 is required to secure your place (with the remaining £15 payable on the day). If you'd prefer to pay the full amount up-front then you are welcome to do so. In either case the payment must be paid by the 31st October at the latest.
Note: Deposits will be refundable up to the 18th October 2008.
Please use one of the following methods of payment for this Event.
In all cases please specify the name of the Event in any email exchange. The contact email address is provided further down the page.

For Others:
Please make your way to PowerStation, Tewkesbury (just off J9 of the M5) and we will see you there! Please try and be there for 08:30am so that we can sort out the preliminaries in readiness to start at 09:00am.
Please note: If you miss your intended convoy then please make your way to the venue - we'll see you there! Also, please note that we have allowed a little extra time just in case we hit roadworks - so please try and aim for the times outlined in the notes above (if applicable to you).
If you would like a mobile number to contact us (Andy or Lynda) then please drop us an e-mail (address below) and we'll send you our contact numbers.
As mentioned somewhere above, we were looking to arrange a group meal after the Event at a pub local to PowerStation. The bad news is that most of the local pubs near PowerStation only serve food between certain hours! Worse still the nearest all-day food serving pub (Toby Carvery) is in the midst of major roadworks and is out of the question.
However, we contacted The Royal Oak pub (only 7 miles from PowerStation) and the owner is happy to remain open to serve us food and drinks provided there are decent numbers turning up - i.e. 8 or more people who will be ordering meals. In terms of meals, the usual fare is on offer. From scampi and chips to chilli (at very reasonable prices) to the slightly more expensive steaks and grills. The pub itself has ample parking with both a stone-surfaced car park and an adjacent field (which won't be needed). Part of the pub is snug and cosy whilst another part is on a raised dais with fantastic scenic views overlooking a steam railway and the surrounding countryside. A great way to end the Event I reckon...

For those who miss breakfast (and/or have a larger appetite) there is more good news. A burger / breakfast van has been organised and this will be present at PowerStation throughout the morning. A range of food and drinks will be available so hopefully most will be catered for (no pun intended!)
If you have any questions, issues or want to discuss anything at all about this Event then please contact us on the e-mail address below.

Safe journey and see you on the day!

The subject of safety... We will remind those attending that we do not condone/endorse racing and we fully expect attendees to be law-abiding and to drive responsibly. If you want to drive like an idiot and rag the nuts off your car then please take it elsewhere and leave the rest of us to enjoy the event!
Depending on the event it is quite possible we'll be attracting a lot of attention so please respect other road users and avoid excessive noise/speed in public and built-up areas. Also worth bearing in mind is the fact that there will potentially be lots of bikers, cyclists and horse-riders out sharing and enjoying the roads with us. You know the drill... be extra vigilant and keep checking your mirrors. Please keep it sensible.
